OPENING RECEPTION
This series explores organic forms and entropy. I’ve always been interested in the decay, over time, of objects created by man and meant to last. Whether it’s the erosion of the Pyramids or a car rusting away in a junkyard, entropy is a constant reminder of the temporality of everything around us, including ourselves. As a counterpoint to the decay of man-made objects, I choose images of natural entropic systems, representing the nature of the forms man creates to become more and more organic over time, until they blend into and are indistinguishable from the natural landscape surrounding them. |
